Of Bartenders and Broken Trust
One is chocolaty; other sweet fruity. Two distinct cream liqueurs. Why would anyone mix the two? But.. that's what I witnessed: Baileys and Amarula in same glass, mixed vigorously and served.
My guess (and I could be wrong) is the unsuspecting customer was billed for the pricier liqueur. The ultimate betrayal of trust.
How is it my business? I am a regular at the hangout. And couldn't help but think fleecing customers is a routine practice.
See.. we gravitate towards those we share values with. Genuine, honest labour is super attractive. Not short-cuts.
Anyways, I could have misread the incident. Someone out there likes their Irish chocolaty with a fruity touch.
